For history’s sake, this video is not what we had originally planned to film. The week before filming the original project, the lead girl fell ill and was forced to bed.
With our actress suddenly unavailable, we had to come up with a new idea at the last minute.
The word health seems to be a key in this story…
So this is how we came up with the idea for Irrelevant. A zero-time, zero-budget video, filmed with the help of some friends willing to lend a hand.
One of the guys featured you may have seen in cinemas in a famous Italian movie or on a popular TV show, but I won’t say who.
Irrelevant depicts a dream, conceived as a psychedelic sequence of images presenting themselves to the viewer as they are, without pretense of cohesion or storytelling.
Pay close attention to the final credits of the video, featuring instant portraits of all the guys. I took the portraits while filming the video using a Polaroid camera and Impossible analog instant films.
The complete gallery of analogue Polaroid portraits can be seen on this post.
